ICPC 2013 - A Successful Conference

For six days Istanbul was on focus of interest of the worldwide coal prep engineer community. A lot of interesting papers of all aspects of coal preparation were presented. Therefore the delegates have had a chance to get some insight of different trends and techniques used worldwide and get informed about new developments. J&C Bachmann was presented with two papers and a booth in the exhibition. The booth was hosted together with our south african cooperation partner Scanmin Africa.

The papers were presented by the company´s young scientists. Jan Bachmann talked about the comparison of results obtained with the washability monitor OREGON and the traditional swim/sink analysis while Michael Cipold presented his research about feed forward optimization of stacker traverse pathes in order to improve the coal quality. The research was conducted in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Both presentations caused interested discussions which were really appreciated.

CoalExpo Africa

We will present our devices at Cal Expo Africa (July 22th to 25th, Graceland Casino in Secunda). Please visit us at the ScanMin Africa booth.

ICPC 2013

The International Coal Preparation Conference 2013 in Istanbul will start in 135 days. J&C Bachmann´s developer team will present papers about our washability analyzer OREGON and our work about feed forward control during heap built up based on quality measurement.

Today the brasilian company Libaneo&Libaneo and J&C Bachmann signed a representation agreement. The company based in Belo Horizonte provides services for geology and mining and has a highly trained crew of 25 technicians and engineers. J&C Bachmann appreciates L&L´s engagement in marketing the online analysis tools on the growing brasilian market.

Cooperation with UltraDynamics

Today J&C Bachmann GmbH and UltraDynamics have agreed to cooperate. The products offered by both companies complement each other which offers the opportunity to derive special measures required for flotation or heavy media control by combining different measuring devices. Furthermore, UltraDynamics will distribute J&C Bachmann´s products in Australia and neighbouring countries.

Representative in Ecuador

Mr. Alonso Hernan Mora Cazar will from now on represent J&C Bachmann GmbH in Ecuador. Being a mining engineer, Alonso has well-founded knowledge of mining and preparation of ores. Contact details may be found here.

Website moved to new server

Last weekend our website and all internet services moved onto a new server. This can easily be seen by the buildup speed of our website which has improved drastically. More importantly, the new server offers the ressources required by the demand of a growing customer base in order to offer a fast and reliable service.

Precise XRF measurements require a constant geometry. To achieve this in online applications without sampling and sample preparation is a challenge which cannot always be fulfilled easily. Now our devices TEXAS and FLORIDA utilize wide distance geometry as a standard now. This newly developed geometry with special collimation of the X-ray beam allows distances from 60 to 100 mm between sensor assembly and material surface. Therefore changes of the surface geometry play only a minor role.
